We still try to make money with our games, just like any other studio. If you buy our games,
they will be free of advertisements, and there will be no low-effort in-app purchases. But we don't rule
out that we may host free versions of our games on an ad-supported website. Or maybe one of our games will have
a significant expansion that you can buy in the game one day. We are pledging to you that all our games will be
available under an open-source license, so those that really want can always play for free, and without
advertisements. That pledge means that we are effectively competing with our own free versions that we give
away.
Our hope is that you will want to pay for the convenience of easily playing on your phone or
gaming device. So if we were to put advertisements or low-effort in-app purchases in our games, we would spoil
that convenience and you would be more likely to play a free version instead. This should keep us honest, and
make you a happy gamer.
